“To the Table” at Darien Historical Society Friday nights through September.

Is Fairfield County a great place to live, or what? Here’s a weekend activity that includes a free wine and cheese reception, art and local history every Friday evening through September.

The Darien Historical Society is offering “To the Table,” a month-long juried art sale with paintings, watercolors and photographs depicting the farm to table phenomenon and more. Art subjects include farms, barns, farm animals, fruits and vegetables, flowers and orchards, roadside stands and markets and fishing.

“To the Table” runs Fridays through September 30, 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
